e-Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions

                                    GIFT VOUCHER POLICY

Gift vouchers may be purchased online or in the Toy Library for any denomination. The
voucher may be used towards the hire of party packs or as part payment for their
membership, where it is not a Membership amount.

When purchased online, an email is sent to the recipient and the purchaser.

Gift vouchers do not attract ‘duty’ for new members. Duty continues to apply, however, for
existing Members. For example, if a Member purchases or receives a gift voucher for $90.00
for a Bronze Membership, they will still be required to pay the $50 duty bond (& undertake
duty) or $100 duty waiver (to not undertake duty).

As required by Consumer Affairs Victoria, gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of
purchase.

An expiry date must be noted on the physical gift card when purchased in the Toy Library.
When purchasing online, ‘expiration in 36 months’ is already noted.
This 3 year expiry does not apply where Carnegie Toy Library

-   is running a limited promotion. For example, valid in the Toy Library today only.
-   sold the gift voucher prior to 2019
-   has sold the voucher for the hire of party packs or membership at a discount.

Gift vouchers purchased online may be exchanged for a physical gift voucher by attending
the Toy Library with the confirmation email. The Coordinator will verify that payment was
made before issuing a physical gift card.

Membership fees cannot be converted to a gift voucher. For example, where an existing
Member renews online or in person and then asks for this to be converted to a gift voucher.
