Turns out, if you keep borrowing toys for long enough, you eventually turn 40. π This October, Carnegie Toy Library is celebrating four decades of toys coming and going, puzzles missing a piece (and miraculously finding it again), favourite toys being borrowed on repeat and local families growing up alongside us. π Big news, Carnegie Toy Library families!
We've been supported with a $3,000 grant from the City of Glen Eira, which will go towards new active play equipment for our members β getting kids moving, building confidence, and having fun through physical play. π Keep an eye on our page as the new gear arrives, and if you're not a member yet, now's a great time to join! A REMINDER FOR ALL OF OUR MEMBERS
A little clean before you return... π§½β¨ Our toys do a lot of travelling between local homes, so a quick wipe-down before returning them helps keep the collection clean and ready for the next family. While you're there, please check all the pieces have made it back into the box too. A tiny job that makes a big difference. Thank you! π

YES - WE ACCEPT DONATIONS! π Doing a toy sort at home? Before it hits landfill or the op shop pile, think of us first. We're after puzzles, games, building sets, ride-ons and role play toys in good condition! We accept donations that are: β

Complete, with all pieces or parts included β
Free from cracks, breaks or missing components β
Safe and suitable for continued use by little hands Please note, we're not able to accept soft toys - sorry.

Growing Our Toy Library: $6,000 Grant for Educational Toys & Equipment
We have received a $6,000 Toy Library grant to grow our selection of high-quality educational toys and equipment. ππ§Έ Our grant allows us to contribute towards a rich home learning environment for children. Our Toy Library has been supported by the Victorian Government to renew our toy and equipment stock, improve membership offerings, enhance accessibility, and cover a range of one-off costs. Toy return cleaning checklist
