In 2014, we celebrated the opening of a new Carnegie home, and Glen Eira News put us on the cover. Back then, we were known as Caulfield Community Toy Library. Twelve years on, we're still volunteer-run and still lending toys to local families. Face painting, bubbles, magic and a very big birthday cake made our 40th birthday celebration a special occasion! 🎂 A big thank you to MOTHER café, Leonie (our invitation designer), and Build-A-Cake for bringing our logo to life on our birthday cake. Turns out, if you keep borrowing toys for long enough, you eventually turn 40. 🎂 This October, Carnegie Toy Library is celebrating four decades of toys coming and going, puzzles missing a piece (and miraculously finding it again), favourite toys being borrowed on repeat and local families growing up alongside us. Undeterred by the rain, we had so many community members and even new friends who came along and donated toys whilst finding some new treasures for themselves. We were so thrilled to host this and have another wonderful opportunity to connect with the wider community. Toy Swap Day is back at Carnegie Toy Library - and it’s one of our favourite little events. If you’ve got toys at home your kids have outgrown, bring them along… then have a browse and take something different home!
