The Carnegie Toy Library thrives thanks to incredible people who give their time to support our community. To show our appreciation, we’re continuing our series highlighting the amazing volunteers - whether they’re members or simply kind-hearted supporters.
Today, we’re shining a light on Yashi!
Yashi joined the Carnegie Toy Library in April 2021 and has been a passionate contributor ever since. From proposing the now much-loved "New Arrivals" rack to supporting our outreach efforts, her ideas and enthusiasm have left a lasting impact.
She’s also helped us connect with more families by contributing to a promotional video in Hindi and adding Hindi subtitles to our volunteer training video with Steph – championing inclusivity and accessibility.
As a Glen Eira Sustainability Champion, Yashi also initiated the “People’s Pantry” - a community food pantry located right at the front of the Toy Library, offering support to those who need it. On top of all this, she’s donated toys to help keep our collection fun and fresh.
Yashi’s involvement reflects her deep commitment to community, sustainability, and inclusivity. We’re so grateful to have her as part of our Toy Library family.
Thank you, Yashi!
Know someone who deserves a shoutout? Send us a message - we’d love to recognise more of the amazing people who make the Toy Library so special!
